I bought these rings as a 1st anniversary present for hubby and myself, and I was astounded by the quality of both pieces. The rings (especially the ladies' size) are proportioned perfectly from the original Weta design; the plating is brilliant gold over tungsten, giving it a marvelous weight in your palm and an elegant, comfortable shape on your finger. The etching is beautiful - noticeable without being ostentatious. I was fully prepared to receive a pair of novelty film-memorabilia rings, especially at this price; instead, we were so taken with them that they have replaced our wedding rings. Gorgeous.If you haven't worn tungsten before, be advised that the metal will not give at all when it meets your body temperature, unlike gold or silver. If you mean to remove the ring from your finger on a regular basis, I'd advise ordering a half-size up. The band is thicker than other metals you may be used to, and you may have a bit of a trial taking it off in warmer weather, for instance. But don't let it stop you from snapping up this treasure - the very same rings are sold individually for $110 on LOTR memorabilia sites.For a Tolkien fan, these are invaluable. Only complaint? - no invisibility feature. Dang.PS - The nerd in me has to mention that the photos of the rings are upside-down. But then, if you're shopping for these, you knew that already ;)

The rings were delivered much sooner than the estimated shipping date. The craftsmanship of the rigs is very detailed and my fiancée and I will definitely enjoy them. They are spectacular. My thanks -Tina

Despite a shipping mistake (which caused I received a wrong item the first time), when they finally arrive turned out to be more impressive than they look on a screen.
