Fit & Finish Just Not Up To Snuff

I purchased this to be a gift for my wife; fortunately I bought months before I intended to give her. This is going back and I'll have to start my search again.The reasons it is going back are all in the details. First approx 1/3 of the top facet and around to the lip is very occluded. I expected some with a black diamond, but the amount and placement really takes away from the rest of the ring which is rich and shimmers. Second, the edge between the top and bottom is all over the place. Look at the photo showing all 4 sides of the stone and compare the ground edge between pics 1 & 3, they are very different in thickness. In pic 4 the edge is so thin it gets wavy as it tracks the facets of the stone. Lastly the setting was poor. Of the 4 prongs one them looked mashed into the stone while two others have light showing between the prong and stone.All in all I am disappointed; I know my wife would have loved this but I want to get her something of better quality. Might have to try a local jeweler.
